The Car Accident

Thirteen year old Roger Clementine was driving this afternoon when his car collided with  John Jacob Jingleheimer-Smith and his wife Melba's car, resulting  in a horrific crash on Slaughter Lane. "The car came out of nowhere," recalls Clementine. "I'm not quite sure of what happened because I was caught up in the song I was singing, but I feel terrible." J. Smith was immediately taken to  University Medical Center Breckenridge  with an injured head and is now in critical condition. Luckily, his wife was unharmed with the exception of  bloody nose. "As soon as I saw John's bleeding head I called an ambulance," M. Smith said. "He's been in critical condition for hours, and I'm terrified." Clementine only suffered minor cuts to his face an was released from the hospital shortly. However, he isn't in the clear yet, for  police began to investigate the situation.  "We have  found out Clementine was driving withou

The Big Day Story

Anna Smith and Daniel Tripper were arranged to get married on September sixteenth at a church in Sacramento, California. After they thought they planned the perfect wedding, the outcome was unbelievable. "As the priest said 'kiss the bride,' I saw Anna's eyes move toward the door. I followed her gaze to see a man burst into the church," Tripper said. "Then I realized it was him; Anna's old boyfriend." Smith's previous significant other James Blacker had been in a serious relationship with Smith for over three years. "I had never been as close to anyone as I was to James," Smith said. "I remained friends with him, even after our break up." Blacker, who lives a long ways away, barely made it to the wedding on time to express his feelings for Anna. "On my way to the wedding, I was extremely anxious and rushed," Blacker said. "Unsure of what I was really aiming to get out of crashing the wedding, I was too

Student of the Month Story

Freshman Katie Martinez has recently received the Student of the Month award from the Bowie High School administration for her class. While only a month into school, she's already being recognized as a wonderful student. "The winner of Student of the Month must be respectful, have amazing grades, and show they're giving full effort at all times," world geography teacher Rachel Cole said. United States Drops Atomic Bombs on Hiroshima, Nagasaki: Japan surrenders to end World War Two. 1945.    After dropping one atomic bomb on Hiroshima, the Japanese War Council was not quite ready to surrender just yet. Determined to get Japan to surrender, the United States dropped another atomic bomb on August ninth. Dropping around 22, 000 tons of TNT and killing between sixty and eighty thousand people, the second bomb was enough to force the Japanese War Council to surrender once and for all.     This is one of the top three most interesting events of the 1900s because it ended one of the world's worst horrific wars. Without this event occurring, the course of history could have been completely different. One thing I particularly find interesting is that Japan did not surrender after the first atomic bomb, knowing there would probably be more attacks from the US. They waited too late and allowed for the deaths of tens of thousands of more people because they let their
