Aperture, Shutter Speed & ISO

Image
Aperture Aperture F2.8 Aperture 16 1. What part of the body should we closely relate aperture? Aperture is considered closely related to the eyes, especially the iris.  2. Finish this sentence - the smaller the Aperture _ the darker the photo _, the higher the Aperture _ the brighter the photo _. 3. In your own words tell me how aperture impacts Depth of Field? Aperture determines whether a photo has a deep or shallow depth of  field. Large apertures focus on only the main subject, blurring the background completely. Small apertures result in having a deep depth of field, meaning the whole photo is in focus. Shutter Speed High shutter speed Slow shutter speed Shutter speeds required to shoot at the following events: At the beginning while the sun was still up and the courtyard had reasonable good light: Short Shutter Speed a.) slow b.) slow c.) fast d.) fast e.) slow f.) fast Towards the end when there is no sun and has gotten dark enough that you can

Tips  Alter Your Perspective- completely changing the angle that you shoot from can give your portrait a real wow factor Play with Eye Contact- looking of camera & looking into frame Anticipating Behavior &  Predicting Relationships Within the Frame- knowing your subjects well enough to be able to anticipate what they are going to do,  understanding human nature and being aware of how people usually react in given situations Environmental Portrait I like this portrait because it is a candid that shows a lot of the background and emphasizes the setting. I'm also not sure what the men in the picture are doing so it interests me. I like this portrait because the pretty mountains and nature in the back is shown, but the main focus is the lady. I like the mystic, nautical feel. Photography Self Portrait I like his portrait because the man is almost fading into the background and his eyes and glasses reflect the scene around him. I like this portrait becaus

Photo Manipulation and Ethics

Image
What are some of the main points you read about in the website above regarding manipulating images? Manipulating photos can be a very controversial, tricky thing for a photographer or journalist to do. When used inappropriately, it can cost people their jobs or reputation. Though photo manipulation has become so common and easy to do throughout the years, judgement plays a big roll in what alterations are ethical. Almost all popular photos have been manipulated, even if they don't appear as if they were. Photo manipulation brings up the issue of people being able to trust the pictures they see. Photographers should be able to manipulate a photo to enhance it and add quality, but not to change the reality of the photo. Changing the story for feeling f a photo through editing is unethical at all times. What is the philosophy of newspapers like the Washington Post and the New York times regarding image manipulation? Washington Post and New York Times have very strict requirements t

Short Answer Questions Steve Adler raised over 1 million in 2014. 20,000 new jobs could be created if Apple makes Austin its next headquarters. Two digital currencies mentioned are Bitcoin and Ethereum. The final three locations for Austin's new MLS soccer stadium are  Butler Shores Metropolitan Park, Roy Guerrero Metropolitan Park, and McKalla Place "Dinder" is a dating and dining app that matches you with others that have similar interests and taste in food. Long Answer Questions This article is about the difficulties child actors face everyday in their line of work. Young people the industry are forced to grow up dealing with struggles that come from constantly being caught up in the media, which has a bigger impact on the actors and actresses than most people realize. Some problems with being a child actor are being scrutinized for appearances, constantly being watched and judged, being sexualized at a young age, and being so involved in the media. I

Photography Composition

Simplicity This photo shows simplicity by focusing in on one individual building. Nothing else is distracting the viewer from focusing on the building and the background is not noisy, so the visual focus is always on the building. The Rule of Thirds This photo shows the rule of thirds by placing the two firemen holding the injured man on the right top and bottom third of the screen. The main focus of the photo is on the men, but the viewer can also see what is going on around them, adding a whole new element to the photo. Lines In this photo, the lines on the building line up with the man's vertical position as he is falling. The consistent, repetitive lines draw the viewer's attention to the person. Balance This photo shows balance by having two men on the right closer to the camera while having several people on the left farther away from the camera. It shows asymmetrical balance. Framing  In this photo, smoke and debris covers the whole sk

Short Answer Questions The kidnapped girls were found in La Veta, Colorado. I think the cartoon is showing the author's opinion on how the president believes he need to be the bigger, more powerful person than the North Korean president. The buttons could represent how much each president is talking, rather than taking action in a positive direction. Bobby Levinski,  Ellen Troxclair,  Rich DePalma, and  Shane Sexton are the four candidates. Avery McKenzie,  Sabrina Bianco,  Caitlin Godwin,  Keara McGraw,  Kyndall Johnson,  Kandace Blackburn, and  Morgan Giles were the seven players placed on the All-District team. I'd like to own the  Garmin Forerunner 235 because it would come in use when I go on runs or jogs. I like to know how much I have run in order to train for soccer, so the tracker would be nice to have. Long Answer Questions  The book's title is "Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House." Trump and his lawyer want the book halted because

PICTURES I chose this picture because I think it really draws attention to the fact that our climate is changing for the worse. This is a starving, struggling polar bear pictured  on Somerset Island, in the Canadian Arctic. All around him there is no snow or ice, which is not the natural habitat of polar bears. Animals of all types around the world are suffering jut as much this polar bear because of the negative impacts humans have had on the environment. Seeing this made me realize that our society does need to make a change with how we treat the planet. This picture was taken at a  International Champions Cup soccer match between Real Madrid and Manchester City in Los Angeles. I chose it because it is amazing how the photographer was able to capture the individual flashlights in the crowd and focus on one main light. I also like it because it shows how sports, especially those that are international, can bring people of different backgrounds together and interested in one
