  1. This article was an opinion piece written from the viewpoint of a legally blind person who was inside of the first real, safe self driving car. The car starts and stops on it's own, follows traffic laws, and has a 360 degree view that allows for maximum safety. The spread of this technology could greatly help seniors and people with disabilities, as well as make the roads safer for everybody.
  2. People with disabilities could benefit from a driverless car. Being disabled makes driving difficult for a lot of people in different ways, so driverless cars would provide them with an easier way of transportation that can be done by themselves. Elderly people who may no longer feel as comfortable driving would be helped as well. Transportation would be less stressful for both the disabled and the elderly.
  3. I would feel safe if cars were being driven by a machine, as long as I was certain the technology was reliable. In fact, driverless cars may be safer than actually having people drive themselves since people can get distracted or have emotions interfere on the road. However, if there started being accidents or malfunctions with the cars, I would be really worried.
  4. I think the next big tech innovation could be making these driverless cars totally eco friendly. Cars use a lot of fossil fuels, which causes a lot of pollution. If everyone had driverless, environment friendly cars, pollution could be decreased greatly and less non renewable energy would be used, making a huge leap in the technology industry.

News- The Lockdown The story is about the Akins lockdown that took place on February 22, which was the result of a former student boarding a bus heading towards the school with ammunition. Senior Bee Barto and teacher Sarah Simmons were interviewed to share theyr experiences. Sarah Simmons and Bee Barto were quoted. Free Write - Embarrassment

Settled in after a long day, I finally got the chance to lay down and relax. I shut out the sound of the TV downstairs as my eyes began to slowly close, my exhaustion taking over. My mind takes me back to third grade. Mrs. Grance’s class was generally a good class, but there were definitely some bad days consisting of the kids not getting along or the teacher being way too intense for third graders to handle. In second grade, one of my closer friends was named Atticus, who now is a freshman at Bowie too. Being young, we were still very childish, so messing with each other was an every day occurrence. Sometimes we took our play a little too far, but I never minded, it was all fun and games.
