The Man Who Played The Violin

The Man Who Played The Violin

I think a majority of people do perceive beauty, but only when they are not preoccupied. When people are focused on other things, they fail to stop and enjoy the little things, which is sad considering how busy everyone I know typically is. In a different setting, where people weren't rushing to get to work or catch the next subway, I think a lot more people would've stopped to realize the beauty in front of them.

Realting to what I said before, most people do not have time or are unwilling to make time to appreciate the beauty around them. People think there are more important things to be focused on than the wonderful things they don't realize they're surrounded by. However, I think taking just a few minutes to acknowledge what's truly happening around us could benefit everybody.

Very few people are able to recognize talent in an unexpected context because of their failure to be observant. In the video we just watched, only a several people out of over 1,000 stopped to notice the beauty in front of them. People are so absorbed in their own lives, that everything else going on does not seem like a priority. We take the beauty and value in the world around us for granted.

If we do not have a moment to stop and listen to one of the best musicians in the world playing the best music ever written, we're likely missing out on countless of other amazing things. To stop and smell the flowers, watch the sunset, or even be exposed to something new are all examples of what should be appreciated more in every day life. Many people would benefit from slowing down and really looking and taking interest in the world around them.
