1. Is there something you see in the photo above that you think could be a problem when you take your photos? Look carefully. The photo may not seem precise or aligned if the camera moves at all, which would make it look disoriented. Also, the subject should be sure that enough space is placed between them when the photo is merged to make sure shadows don't overlap. 2. Where do you think would be a great place to take this type of picture here on the Bowie campus? A good place to take this type of photo at Bowie would be against a plain wall, while walking up a staircase, or somewhere else where there is little distractions/not a lot of people passing by. 3. Can you think of something creative to actually DO in the photo when you take yours? The subject could be doing different poses while standing or moving around. They could also be doing something sport related such as playing soccer or stretching. 4. Is there something you could wear that would help you when you do

1. What manipulations to the camera will you need to make to create an HDR image? Shoot in RAW format, put camera on AEB mode, change exposure for each photo (alter shutter speeds) 2. What equipment will we use to take this type of image? A tripod 3. What is the reason someone might take an HDR image? HDR photos are good for capturing scenes with high contrast, including all its shadows & highlights. They make the photos look like what the photographer really saw and increase the photo’s dynamic range. 4. What can we expect to happen with the images once we merge them together, what will we see that we might not have seen with just one photo? The photos will merge and allow the photo to look as if you could walk into it. The high definition landscapes manipulate the light and dark parts of the photo to find a happy medium when they ar merged together.

1. When will you shoot this assignment? I think I'll shoot this assignment in the next few coming weeks sometimes over the weekend. 2. Where will you shoot? 3. What will you be documenting or telling your "story" about? I'm not positive what my story will be about yet, but my few ideas include making a smoothie or some muffins, shooting someone getting a haircut, and someone doing their makeup and getting ready.  4. What equipment needs will you have to get this finished? I'll need my phone, cooking equipment (if choose that idea), and a person to shoot (for all ideas). 5. Make sure to describe the process, by this I mean, where will you use the video portion, where will you use still images, where will your narration be, etc?

Movie Review

Captain Phillips , A Must "Sea" Movie Captain Phillips , directed by Paul Greengrass, is a thrilling, emotional account of the true story in which Somali pirates attacked a U.S. cargo ship and held Captain Phillips (Tom Hanks) as a hostage. A perfect movie for action-loving teenagers and adults of all ages, the suspense and unpredictability kept me interested throughout the entire movie. With a 93% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, Captain Phillips is a phenomenal movie that keeps viewers on the edge of their seats, even if they already have background knowledge on the story of Captain Richard Phillips. The movie has received the Writers Guide of America Award for Best Adapted Screenplay, and several individual actors were nominated or rewarded the BAFTA award. Richard Phillips is captain of the Maersk Alabama, a cargo ship assigned to deliver food and resources to people in Kenya.
